Suesca, Cundinamarca, Colombia; 2012 This is an interior project led by one of our team members, Carolyn Gilchrist. The work is commonly known as “In Front of the Rocks” because of its location just below Suesca’s Rocks. It is a house designed for a family who love outdoor activities such as hiking and rock climbing. The structure comprises mostly modular steel and black brick and is elevated slightly from the ground. The glass front projects through sliding doors onto a terrace, which is cantilevered to create a clear separation between the house and land. The house is divided into sections and each includes the essential facilities in terms of space, decoration and furniture.
